A same sample is assayed twice, using 2 distinct modes: Geochem Mode and Soil Mode.
Geochem Mode is used to obtain Al, Si, Fe and LE (light elements, i.e. N<12) whereas Soil Mode is used to obtain Cu, Ag, P, S, Cl, K, Ca, Zn, Pb, As, Ni, Co, Mn, Cr, V, Ti, Th, Rb, Bi, W, Ta, Sn, Hg, U, Nd, Pr, Ce, La, Ba, Sb, Cd, Mo, Nb, Zr, Y, Sr and Se.  
Geochem Mode assays via 2 beams of 45sec while Soil Mode assays via 3 beams of 30sec each.
